bp — Full-Stack Software Engineer
Part of a small startup-style team digitising industrial plant documentation using ML and data pipelines. I rebuilt the OCR stack cutting processing from 18 hours to 30 minutes with 95% accuracy, trained and deployed a YOLO model to classify engineering symbols in production, and built an AI agent audit platform using Claude that got adopted across the refining department.
bp — Backend Engineer
Worked on Titan, BP's multi-billion pound LNG trading platform. Built the valuation microservice calculating estimated and actualised P&L across full trade lifecycles, contributed to migrating the monolithic settlements system to idempotent REST API microservices, and was sole developer on a greenfield financial UI for LNG trading teams. I also optimised SQL scripts reducing CPU utilisation by 40% and statement generation time by 300%, and built a data pipeline feeding a £1M+ funded AI project.
